LBC offers you the opportunity to earn nationally recognized, non-college credits known as Continuing Education Unit credits (CEUs) for their academic study. One CEU is awarded for each ten hours of class instruction, and learning experience based on approximately 75% of class attendance.

Registration & Course Costs

Registration Fee: $10*

Registration can be handled online, over the phone or in person on the first night of class. Please review the Course List and Schedule to determine what classes you would like to take.  After registering, students will need to mail in the tuition fees. Registration ends on the first day of the class. All course fees must be received by that date.

Walk-in registrations are conducted 30 minutes prior to the start of class. Students who wish to register at that time should report to the designated registration area at each location. A $5 late fee will be added to the registration fee of $10. All registration and tuition fees should be paid in full at registration.

Tuition: $60 per CEU

Classes for LBC alumni, including graduates of the institute, are tuition-free. The only charge is the $10 registration fee.

Refund Policy

Students who withdraw from the program and call the office will receive a tuition refund*based on the following schedule:

• Call prior to the start of class: 100% refund
• Call after the first class: 90% refund
• After second class: No refund

* Registration Fee is non-refundable.

Books

The cost of books is not included in the tuition cost, but are usually supplemental to the course. About one-third of our courses have book recommendations from the instructor, and cost tend to fall in the range of $5 to $25.  Textbooks may be purchased the first night of class at each location. For specific costs on course books contact the Bookends Bookstore. Students will also be told at the time of registration if a course has a required/recommended textbook.
