History of Northwood Church

Northwood was founded in 1985 by Senior Pastor Bob Roberts and nineteen families. This group desired to be a church like the early church in the New Testament, believers who lived so differently that they impacted their community and ultimately the world. Twenty-five years later, over 2500 NorthWood family members are touching lives in Keller, Tarrant County, throughout the United States through our church plants as well as in Mexico and Vietnam.

NorthWood first church plant was in 1992.  Since then, NorthWood has become one of the leaders in America in planting over 130 churches. Each year, NorthWood Church Planting equips dozens of church planters throughout the U.S. through training, pre-assessment, couples assessment, coaching and mentoring.
