TALENT, the drama team at Lancaster Bible College & Graduate School, will perform the haunting drama Auschwitz Lullaby on Thursday and Friday, October 25 & 26 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, October 27 at 2:00 and 7:00 pm, 2007, in the Good Shepherd Chapel on the campus at 901 Eden Road, Lancaster.
Inspired by actual events recounted in inmate diaries, this drama by James D. Wall chronicles the story of Dr. Isaac Jonah, a Jewish Pathologist who, along with his wife and daughter, is interred at Auschwitz Concentration Camp and is assigned to work in the laboratory of sadistic Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele. A young child miraculously survives the gas chamber, and Dr. Jonah is forced to decide how much to risk, including the safety of his own family, for the life of an innocent girl. This play brings historical events and people to life. It brings hope and awareness. The moral and ethical dilemmas that arise will cause conversations for hours after you leave the theatre.
