Clemens Institute for Business Leadership

In a world where business practice and methods employed for profitability come under question, it is more important today than ever to clarify the nature of leadership in the context of a biblical framework. A biblical foundation is needed to train business leaders to conduct their businesses honestly, ethically, and with integrity. Christian leadership serves not only the organization but also the people who work together to achieve a common goal. With that in mind, on October 12, 2007, Lancaster Bible College & Graduate School launched the Clemens Institute for Business Leadership.

The Clemens Institute for Business Leadership (CIBL) is a forum for business leaders to learn, interact with, and apply biblical leadership principles in business settings. The CIBL Certificate Program integrates biblical concepts with sound leadership principles. The courses will strike a balance between the over generalizations often experienced in leadership conferences and the academic and financial constraints of a full-fledged business leadership degree program. Participants will earn a Certificate for Biblical Leadership by completing 30 continuing education units (CEUs), or ten 3-credit courses, over a 2 year period.

The institute is named for the Clemens Family Corporation, a business that is a prominent example of how it is possible to bridge the gap between biblical living and business leadership. This is a five-generation family business whose mission commits them to operate in a way that will honor the Lord through integrity, ethics, and stewardship. Today they are the parent corporation of a diverse group of businesses, the most recognized of which is Hatfield Quality Meats.

Required courses will be offered one weekend a month on the campus of Lancaster Bible College & Graduate School, with elective courses available at varying times. A new class is forming in January 2008. To apply or to request additional information, call Jim Fetterolf, Director at 717.368.4666 or email .
