Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School will host a “Leadership Issues in Student Ministry” conference on Monday, January 7, 2008, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Registration will begin at 8:30 am in the Good Shepherd Chapel on the campus at 901 Eden Road, Lancaster. This conference is designed for pastors of Student Ministries, youth directors, and lay leaders.
Keynote speaker for the conference will be Duffy (David) Robbins, Associate Professor of Youth Ministry at Eastern University, St. Davids, PA. Robbins is a twenty-four year veteran of youth ministry, having gained extensive experience as a youth minister in both para-church and local parish positions. He has spoken across the country and around the world at youth conferences, conventions, retreats, workshops and music festivals. He has also written several books, including Speaking to Teenagers, Enjoy the Silence, This Way to Youth Ministry, Everyday Object Lessons for Youth Groups, and The Ministry of Nurture.
This unique conference will explore four major areas: Discovering your call for student ministry, Being able to navigate through dangers, toils and snares, Contextualization within the student ministry landscape, and Culture.
