Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School has announced Richard Reely as the newly appointed Volunteer Coordinator. Mr. Reely is setting the example by ‘volunteering’ his time to this position. “It’s the best way to help others see that being a volunteer is rewarding” said Reely. “I like uncovering talent and matching it with a need; whether it’s clerical, construction, landscaping or information technology the needs at LBC continue to grow and as a non-profit institution, we welcome volunteers from the community at large as well as our alumni” continued Reely.
The purpose of a Volunteer Coordinator is to organize and direct the college’s volunteer pool as well as introduce our students to varied service opportunities throughout the college. The coordinator will maintain communication between the leadership and employees at the college and the volunteers to ensure a good fit between organizational needs and volunteer capabilities. This is an intentional effort to match volunteers that are skilled in certain areas with departments that are in need of their skill sets, freeing up much-needed time for staff members.
Mr Reely developed a volunteer program for over two years in Franklin County entitled Franklin House Prison Ministry. He also maintained a volunteer program with Ten Thousand Villages for over four years.
This is Reely’s 20th year of being affiliated with Lancaster Bible College. He started as a student from 1988-1990, earned a Bible Certificate in 1999, and a Counseling Certificate in 2000. He has also been involved with the Alumni Council.
Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School exists for the purpose of educating Christian men and women to live according to a biblical worldview and to serve through professional Christian ministries. For More Information Contact Sherry Green
