Transfer Students
Transferring your Financial Aid to Lancaster Bible College
Transferring for the Fall Semester
- Complete your Renewal FAFSA, listing Lancaster Bible College (003285) as your college of preference. In order to be considered for a State Grant, please be sure to submit your FAFSA prior to your state's deadline date. PA State Grant deadline day is May 1.
- If you had a Stafford Loan through Pennsylvania's Guaranty Agency, American Education Services (AES), you may log on to their site through Account Access and change the school to Lancaster Bible College.
- Please complete Entrance Loan Counseling so that we have a record of your Entrance Counseling in your file at our College. Our policy states that loans will not be certified until Entrance Loan Counseling has first been completed.
- Be sure to request In-School Deferment for your prior loans. If your prior loan was through AES, you may request your In-School Deferment here. If your loan was through another Guaranty Agency, such as Great Lakes, USA Funds, or Sallie Mae, or if you had any Private Alternative Loans, you will need to contact those lenders directly. You will need to do this every year until you graduate.
If you had a Perkins Loan, you will need to ask the Financial Aid Office at your current school how to obtain an In-School Deferment form for their Perkins Loan program.
Turn in your completed In-School Deferment Form to our Financial Aid Office. After we verify your enrollment (after Registration Day), we will complete the School Section and send it in for you.
Please note that you are responsible for any payments that may be due on your loan up until Registration Day. This deferment only covers you from Registration Day until your last day of school for one academic year (assuming you are officially enrolled at least half-time for the Fall and Spring).
- A Financial Aid Award Letter will be sent to you after our Enrollment Services Office has officially accepted you for enrollment at LBC, and after your financial aid information has been successfully received by our College. Please sign one copy of the Award Letter and return it to us promptly.
Transferring for the Spring Semester (mid-year)
- Using your PIN, access your FAFSA on the Web and add Lancaster Bible College (003285). Be sure to sign with BOTH parent and student PINS!! Otherwise it will be an incomplete transaction, which will delay things.
