Program Design
Because the M.A.M. program is designed for the part-time student, most courses meet one night a week during the fall and spring semesters. In addition, one week modular courses are offered in early January and throughout the summer months. Most students are able to complete the program in four years, with five years being the maximum time allowed.
Program Outcomes
The Leadership program is designed to give the student:
- Development of an understanding of Biblical leadership and its application to non-profit organizations.
- Development of an understanding of the organizational dynamics of non-profit organizations.
- Development of the competencies and skill sets needed to lead non-profit organizations.
- Development of the ethical, legal, and diversity issues in non-profit organizations.
- Development of the appreciation for one’s personal leadership style and gifts.
- Development of learning and research skills for maintaining life-long education.
The Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership is a 15-credit program for individuals who do not need the M.A.M. degree. The only required course is LS 502 Development of Organizational Leadership; the other four classes are leadership electives selected by the student. A capstone project is not required. Program completion is three years. The admission requirements are the same as those for M.A.M. degree students.
