For M.A.M. required courses, semester classes are also available at night and on weekends.
Program Outcomes
The Small Group Leadership program is designed to give the student:
- Development of a Biblical philosophy of small group ministry.
- Development of skills to organize, develop, and lead small group ministries.
- Development of a knowledge base about local church program models of small group ministries.
- Development of skills for how to equip and train others for effective small group ministries.
- Development of graduates who know how to manage group dynamics and are self-aware of their own behavior in a small group setting.
- Development of the necessary spiritual and personal characteristics to lead small group ministries.
The Graduate Certificate in Small Group Leadership is a 15-credit program for individuals who do not need the M.A.M. degree. The only required course is GL 501 Biblical Foundations and Models of Small Group Ministry in the Church; the other four classes are small group electives selected by the student. A capstone project is not required. Program completion is three years. The admission requirements are the same as those for M.A.M. degree students.
