Elementary School Counseling
Secondary School Counseling
LBC’s School Counseling majors, approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, are designed to provide students with the training necessary to become a certified school counselor in either a public or private school. All of the classes are taught by Christian professors who are also school counselors or mental health counselors. Our mission is to teach students how to integrate their faith with their work and how to help students in elementary, middle, or high schools reach success in all areas of their lives.
When you have completed this program of study, you will earn a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in School Counseling and Biblical Studies as well as a Master of Education. In as little as five years, you can begin working with students in an educational setting as a professional school counselor. You will also have the opportunity to seek Pennsylvania public school certification and to take additional coursework that could qualify you for licensure in Pennsylvania as a licensed professional counselor.
