Mission

With LBC’s Marriage & Family Counseling major, students will become profoundly aware of marriage and family issues, starting with an examination of their own personal experiences and expectations. All instruction will look at marriage and family through the lens of Scripture. In this major, students will build their knowledge and skill for professional counseling work through a Bachelor of Science in Bible/Master of Arts major (5-year track). Instructional elements include assessment protocols, theory of marriage and family, and therapeutic interventions for marriage and family.

Outcomes

When you have completed this major, you will earn combined BSB and MA degrees, and you will be prepared for certification through the National Board of Certified Counselors and eventually licensure as a licensed professional counselor.
