With LBC’s Marriage & Family Counseling concentration, students will become profoundly aware of marriage and family issues, starting with an examination of their own personal experiences and expectations. All instruction will look at marriage and family through the lens of Scripture. In this major, students will build their knowledge and skill for professional counseling work through a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts program (5-year track). Instructional elements include assessment protocols, theory of marriage and family, and therapeutic interventions for marriage and family.
When you have completed this program of study, you will earn a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Professional Counseling and Biblical Studies as well as a Master of Arts degree. You will be prepared for certification through the National Board of Certified Counselors and eventually licensure as a licensed professional counselor.
