Bachelor of Science and Master of Education
The school counseling major is designed to provide students with the training necessary to become a certified school counselor in either a public or private school. The major is also approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. All of the classes are taught by Christian professors who are also school counselors or mental health counselors. The mission is to teach students how to integrate their faith with their work and how to help students in elementary, middle, or high schools to reach success in all areas of their lives.
In as little as five years, you can earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree and begin working with students in an educational setting as a professional school counselor. You will also have the opportunity to seek PA public school certification and to take additional coursework that could qualify you for licensure in PA as a licensed professional counselor.
