The Communication major is Lancaster Bible College's response to the urgent need for communicators to influence the media and culture from a relevant but biblical worldview. This major seeks to meet this demand by producing skilled communication professionals rooted in Christian values.
The Communication major offers two degrees:
- Media Writing & Biblical Studies - offers students broad exposure to web content development, news media, and marketing.
- Live Production & Biblical Studies - prepares students for expertise as e-media technicians in the area of live stage performance or web-based performance.
When you have completed this program of study, you will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Communication and Biblical Studies. Designed to produce effective communication professionals through competitive courses and hands-on experiences, LBC's Communication major is built on the study of media ethics, theory, and practice. This lays the foundation for effective career placement, as well as further study in specialized communication fields at the graduate level.
Students enrolled in other departments may elect to minor in communication. The communication minor is a great complement to other fields of study as fine-tuned communication skills are an asset to nearly every career.
