Eligibility

To be eligible for admission into the JumpStart Program, you will need to meet the following criteria:
(Note SAT and PSAT requirements consider the Critical Reading and Mathematics Composite score. This does not include the Writing section.)

  • A high school GPA of at least 2.0
  • Minimum SAT score of 1000, PSAT score of 100 or ACT Composite score of 20 (Provisional acceptance will be granted into the JumpStart Program with an SAT score of between 880-990, a PSAT score of between 88-99 or an ACT Composite score of between 17-19. The student will be allowed to complete one semester and continue with a 2.0 college GPA.)

Math and English Courses

After acceptance to JumpStart to take a College Math or English Composition course, you must have earned the corresponding minimum test scores or take an online AccuPlacer test:

  • SAT 500
  • PSAT 50
  • ACT 19

Academic Policy

When admitted to LBC under provisional acceptance, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. If your GPA drops below 2.0, you will be put on academic probation. After one semester on academic probation, if you do not raise your GPA above 2.0, you will be academically dismissed.
