Job Summary:

This position is will provide financial reporting, analysis, and technical assistance for the Business Office. Financial reporting and analysis will be used for overall financial management of the college. Reporting needs are related to budget oversight, external agency reporting, and performance management. The position with also be conversant in each of the financial systems used by the college and work to ensure efficient use among those working in each of the systems.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 1-3 years of experience of comparable accounting history, prior work history within non-profit accounting or higher education, knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge, proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly budget reporting
  • Assisting in development of annual budget
  • Completion of annual surveys and reporting to outside agencies
  • Assisting with month-end reconciliation
  • Knowledge of numerous processes within the Business Office
  • Serves as back up for functions within the Business Office
  • Assisting with month end reporting and general ledger entry
  • Assisting with annual audit
  • Prepare custom financial reports as needed from each of the systems used by the Business Office
  • Define daily and other routine processes within the Business Office and identify continual process improvements
