Job Description:

This position exists for the purpose of teaching undergraduate level courses in business and assisting the Chair of Business Administration Department.

Candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • MBA or equivalent degree required, PhD or terminal degree is preferred
  • Higher educational teaching experience is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of business experience at a Senior Manager or higher level
  • An ability to teach a wide range of business classes
  • An ability to design curriculum and assess the effectiveness of curriculum
  • A positive reputation as a scholar and educator
  • A well-articulated philosophy of education

Candidates will need to possess the following skills:

  • An ability to relate to undergraduates and to help them understand the ways in which business applies to the shaping of their thought processes, their future careers, and their biblical worldview
  • An ability to work with colleagues on corporate projects
  • An ability to coordinate the departmental mentoring program
  • Proficient as a communicator in written and oral formats
  • Proficient with general computer skills
  • An ability to design instruction
  • An ability to develop new courses
  • A desire to mentor students outside the classroom

Candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Develop and teach a wide range of business courses; required full-time teaching load is 4 courses of 3 hours per course per semester (x2)
  • Monitor ongoing assessment of students in the area of business
  • Participate in department meetings and activities
  • Maintain regular office hours of at least 10 hours per week for student and faculty consultation and support
  • Attend Chapel regularly
  • Complete other tasks as related to the department and requested by the department chair
