Job Description:

This position provides administrative support and assists with the Enrollment Support Coordinator.

Candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in professional, multitask environment
  • Experience in non-profit, educational environment helpful

Candidates will need to possess the following skills:

  • Ability to work independently, exercise judgment and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize projects and tasks with minimal or no supervision
  • High level of problem solving and analytical skills; attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service focused (internal and external)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience with the college data base system, Campus Vue preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with adult learners
  • Self-starter, flexible, and able to handle highly confidential matters
  • Demonstrated evidence of “goal-oriented” performance
  • A sincere understanding and commitment to adult education
  • Multiline phone experience
  • Some travel required, possibly overnight

Candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Assist the student services team with recruitment and student orientation activities
  • Work closely with student services to ensure a smooth transition to college life for the adult learners
  • Assist with the coordination of special event planning; may be required to attend & participate in some off-site sponsored events
  • Represent the programs in a positive manner on campus and in the community
  • Answer phone calls promptly and greet visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Provide assistance and answer routine student questions or determine appropriate routing
  • Perform general office duties
  • Process and distribute incoming mail
  • Compile and distribute statistical reports for Site Director
  • Assist office personnel in fulfilling their job tasks
  • Input necessary data into Campus Vue
  • Produce new student files
  • Communicate to students as needed regarding their status in their program
  • Assist in the creation of a student newsletter
  • Compose and send student communications as needed
  • As time allows, perform tasks to support the Campus Operations Manager and student services team.
  • Recommend and create improved ways to enhance the student experience both on campus and online.

Assist in other duties whenever called upon as needed for the good and welfare of the total College ministry.
