Job Description:

Candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated success in a professional, high-paced, multi-task environment
  • Minimum five years’ office experience required
  • One year’s experience in a college, large non-profit, or a medium-to-large organization preferred

Job Tasks

  • Support the Vice President for People and Culture (VPPC) as necessary to enable him to effectively meet his responsibilities, accomplish his daily agenda, and achieve short-term and long-term goals, by exercising good judgment and knowledge of his priorities and preferences.
  • Prepare and manage process tracking tools to include, but not limited to, ontime payroll tracking, hiring process management, orientation management, and professional training management.
  • Assist the VPPC in creating and implementing professional development opportunities campus-wide or for specific offices or categories of employees.
  • Assist the VPPC in creating and implementing organizational culture initiatives designed to enhance unity of purpose and sense of efficacy.
  • Serve as a welcoming initial point of contact for the VPPC and for Lancaster Bible College.
  • Place and receive office phone calls, using judgment to direct calls appropriately.
  • Assist in managing the VPPC’s email accounts.
  • Manage the VPPC’s contact information.
  • Manage the VPPC’s calendar including arranging appointments and travel.
  • Keep the VPPC informed of relevant college events and PV/HR inquiries.
  • Draft, type and process outgoing correspondence, including proofreading and editing all documents as part of the collaborative process that exists between the college’s Vice Presidents and President.
  • Receive daily mail; sort and process appropriately.
  • Become adept with the mechanics of office equipment and maintenance of each machine.
  • Maintain online and hard copy files.
  • Obtain necessary office supplies.
  • Assist in other duties when called upon as needed for the good and welfare of the total College ministry.
