Student Accounts Coordinator

Full-time, Professional Staff

Location: Lancaster, PA

This position exists for the purpose of providing support to the Student Accounts Manager in processing all student account services, not limited to but primarily focused on accelerated undergraduate, online and doctoral students.

Candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • BS/BA, in business related field preferred, or 1-3 years of experience of accounting history, prior work history within non-profit accounting or higher education
  • High attention to detail
  • Critical thinking
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Above average computer skills including proficiency in: Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word and able to learn new software
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with teams
  • Evidence of “goal-oriented” performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Assist with management of student billing
    • Ensure monthly student statements are completed
    • Coordinate billing statements for students (coordinate with financial aid and registrar’s office)
  • Knowledge and understanding of payment options and due dates
  • Assist with tracking and collection of positive balances; communicate these balances with students and their academic/financial aid counselors
  • Management of student payment plan process
  • Transfer funds and keep records for Student Aid-Regular Fund, Pheaa Fund, and Direct Loan Escrow Account, Federal Work Study
  • Manage student holds for transcripts and registration
  • Speak with parents and students concerning A/R bills
  • Manage student payment plans
  • Maintain ACH Student Payment Plan
  • Drive collection of all monies owed to the College, including timely communication with past due accounts
  • Fulfill other administrative and supporting roles within the Business Office
  • Maintain positive student interaction regarding student accounts
  • Assist in other duties whenever called upon as needed for the good and welfare of the total College ministry
