Meet Edward Owens, MA

Edward W. Owens “Eddie” serves as Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management. Eddie started at LBC in 2018 and has served in various roles in the online recruitment efforts.

Prior to his tenure at LBC, Eddie served for 24 years in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a Sergeant Major. His decorated military career included service with the U.S. Department of State, the White House, and the Pentagon, where he supported strategic missions at the highest levels of government. Eddie completed multiple combat deployments across global theaters of operation, experiences that shaped his enduring convictions about faith, servant leadership, and resilience under pressure.

Following his military career, Eddie transitioned into ministry and Higher education roles. He has also served as an Executive Pastor at a local Bible Church in York, Pennsylvania since 2018.

Eddie Owens holds an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Central Texas College, a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Lancaster Bible College, a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Counseling from Liberty University, and is completing his PhD in Psychology, where his research focuses on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) among combat veterans and its impact on family systems. His academic and professional focus centers on leadership development, organizational culture, and the intersection of faith and human resilience.

Eddie Owens and his wife, Lisa, share a deep commitment to ministry, family and service. They have three adult children, each pursuing lives of purpose and leadership. They enjoy spending time with family, traveling and encouraging others to live with faith, courage and conviction.
