Dr. A Michael Black has been in pastoral ministry for almost 35 years, serving at Elim Baptist Church, Bethesda Baptist Church, Westwood Baptist Church, and most recently as the Executive Pastor at Heritage Fellowship Church in Reston, Virginia. He was licensed to preach in 1983 and ordained by Bethesda Baptist Church in 1984.

Black earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington Bible College, and his Master of Theological Studies degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Angli have been married for 34 years. They have three children, Michael, Letitia, and Joshua along with six grandchildren.

In 2013, LBC established a location in Greenbelt, Maryland through the acquisition of the academic programming of Washington Bible College and Capital Bible Seminary. Since 2013, LBC | Capital has been educating students at the undergraduate, graduate, and seminary levels in their state of the art facilities located at 7852 Walker Drive, Greenbelt, Maryland. The students at Washington DC location are part of nearly 2,000 students studying at LBC | Capital in Lancaster, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Memphis, TN, and Boca Raton, FL and Uganda.
