Dr. Carew holds a PhD in Social Work from Michigan State University and is a Licensed Master level Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan. She has extensive experience in social work education having taught in undergraduate and graduate social work programs for over 20 years. In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Carew has over 18 years of practice experience in faith-based and nonprofit organizations. With a passion for preparing students to serve with both professional excellence and Christ-centered compassion, Dr. Carew integrates her expertise in trauma-informed care, child welfare and clinical practice into the classroom in the context of a biblical worldview.
