Ally Center Online Services

The Ally Center supports LBC online students with free services including writing help, academic mentoring, ESL support and accessibility accommodations. Whether you need tips on time management, tutoring, writing resources or want to join a student group or webinar, our Ally Center team is ready to help you thrive during your LBC education.

The Charles & Gloria Jones Library has the resources necessary to support our online curriculum. The library website gives students access to over 100 databases on every subject area, including digital books and journal articles. Research Guides, inter-library loan and research consultations are also available to students. Online students are always welcome to physically come and study at the Lancaster Campus library location.

If you need help troubleshooting an issue on your computer, the online learning platform (Canvas) or the campus network tools, contact the LBC Help Desk using its online form. The LBC Store is the spot for textbooks and Charger gear.LBC Campus Store – Serving Our Online Community

The LBC Campus Store supports our online students through a convenient virtual store where you can order textbooks and all your favorite LBC gear.

All students are automatically enrolled in Slingshot Choice, a subscription-based service that ensures your required course materials are delivered to you before your classes begin. You can choose to rent books (which you’ll return later) or purchase them new, used or digitally—whatever fits your needs. Once you’re enrolled, the LBC Online Store will guide you through the textbook process.

And it’s not just textbooks—you’ll also find a great selection of LBC apparel and accessories to help you stay cozy while studying and showing that you’re part of Charger Nation.

Online Student Success Coaches

At LBC, all online students are assigned a Success Coach who will walk alongside you from enrollment to graduation—supporting, encouraging and guiding every step of the way. Our goal is to set you up for success both academically and personally as you grow as a student and a disciple of Jesus.

Your Success Coach serve in many roles:

  • Academic Advisor – Helping you choose and schedule courses aligned with your goals.
  • Career & Degree Counselor – Offering guidance as you explore your calling and future opportunities.
  • Encourager – Cheering you on when you’re discouraged and celebrating your wins.
  • Supporter – Being a listening ear when life or school feels overwhelming.
  • Resource Guide – Connecting you with helpful services like the Ally Center and the library.
  • Progress Monitor – Checking in if you’re falling behind and helping you get back on track.
  • Financial Aid & Billing Helper – Answering basic questions or connecting you with the right department.
  • Advocate – Speaking up for you when you need a little extra support.

Employment

LBC’s Career Services exists to help students and alumni live out their purpose and clarify their calling. Online students have access to many free services, such as a job board; individual appointments about resumes, cover letters and more; and access to Pathway U is a resource that enables students to take aptitude tests to help them discern where their calling lies, search for jobs based on their matches and more.
