More and more, certain vocations are requiring candidates to hold both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Fortunately, at Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School, we offer a number of programs call four plus one (4 + 1), which allow you to earn a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in just five years. Considering the fact the most master’s degrees take at least two years to complete, earning two degrees in five years can help you save time and money on your education. 1. Addictions Counseling
Through this program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of professional counseling with an emphasis of treating addiction on the master’s degree level.
2. Clinical Mental Health Counseling
In this concentration, you’ll delve deeper into the hallmarks of mental health counseling, placing an added emphasis on learning how to perform and interpret intellectual, personality and psychological assessments.
3. Marriage, Couple & Family Counseling
LBC’s marriage and family counseling degree gives students a deep understanding of marriage and family issues – and equips them to address them head-on.
4. Professional School Counseling
If you have a desire to partner with and walk alongside adolescents during critical times of transitional development, why not become a school counselor? School counselors provide support to K-12 students and make a direct, tangible impact on their lives.
5. Special Education
Do have a heart for service? Do you love children? Do you find a special connection with disabled individuals? Then our five year undergraduate and graduate program for special education is right for you. Through this 4+1 program, you’ll be equipped to serves preK through eighth grade students across the spectrum of learning.
6. ESL
Through LBC’s 4+1 (BS/MEd) in English as a Second Language, you will earn two levels of degrees and be Pennsylvania state-certified to teach early childhood students as well as English learners, all in just five years.
