Lancaster School of the Bible alumni from the Class of 1965 gathered for a summer reunion in June 2025.
Members of the Lancaster School of the Bible Class of 1965 gathered during the summer of 2025 for a reunion in Lancaster, Pa., with some members traveling from as far as Florida. Kathy (Miller ’65) Scott organized the 60th reunion event alongside the Alumni Relations Office. It was a wonderful time filled with reminiscing and sharing how their time at LSB influenced their lives.
“It was such an honor to spend the afternoon with the Class of 1965,” said Myranda (Kemrer ’18) Bassey, Director of Alumni Relations. “Kathy Scott did an amazing job at organizing the event and making it memorable. The classmates shared memories of their time at Lancaster School of the Bible and how many of them used what they learned at LSB in their ministries after. I was able to give an LBC update and share some prayer requests we have. Although LBC has changed since its time as LSB, the class was encouraged to hear that the biblical foundation has stayed the same. It was a joy to hear of the Lord’s faithfulness through the Class of 1965.”
Scott, who spent her 40-year career as a freelance writer and editor, was encouraged to write after intending to become a teacher. But her professor, Dr. Thomas Figart, helped direct Scott to writing and ministry. The reunion organizer reported that eight classmates, four spouses, plus family and friends gathered, adding that her only regret was that the time was “too short to fit our 60 years into three hours. So glad we tried.” Scott also shared that at least 10 couples were part of the Class of ’65. “Maybe our class tops the charts for matchmaking?” she quipped.

August 4, 2025 – LBC Alumni Night at the Phillies Game
Join friends and family from your alma mater as the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Baltimore Orioles. Plus, there’s no need to worry about driving or parking since this is a bus trip! However, game tickets without bus transportation are also available. Save your spot at linktr.ee/lbcalumni.
