by LBC Marketing

After serving on the Lancaster Bible College Board of Trustees since the fall of 2023, alumnus Brandon Klinger (’13) is now serving his alma mater in a new role: Interim Program Chair of Business Administration. He brings expertise in entrepreneurship, local business networking and team-building to LBC.

In his role, Klinger will lead the faculty in the on-campus Business Administration programs, cultivate a thriving student culture through his leadership, develop external relationships with local business professionals to foster student opportunities, recruit business experts to help shape the next generation of business leaders and collaborate to enhance the overall LBC student experience.

LBC asked Brandon Klinger about his vision for the college’s business programs. Check out his answers below, and learn more about the on-campus majors, including Business Administration and Sport Management, within this relevant and impactful department.

Q: What are some of your goals and aspirations for LBC’s business programs?

A: My heart is to build a business program that produces students who lead and serve with both competence and character. That means continuing to strengthen the academic core while also expanding real-world opportunities — internships, mentorships, business incubators and local partnerships that give students experience now, not just preparation for “someday.” I also want to create a culture where students feel seen, stretched and sent — seen for who they are, stretched to grow beyond their comfort zones and sent to make redemptive impact wherever God calls them.

Q: Why is it important for Christian students to learn ethical and biblically based business principles?

A: Business is one of the most influential arenas in culture today. Whether it’s in the boardroom or the break room, values shape decisions. If our students are grounded in Scripture and led by the Spirit, they’ll bring light into systems that desperately need integrity, humility and justice. The goal isn’t just to build successful careers — it’s to steward influence well, love people deeply and glorify God in every deal, dollar and decision.

Q: What do you see as the most unique aspect of LBC’s business programs?

A: The most unique aspect is our commitment to a truly relational education. Our faculty know students by name, care about their calling and walk alongside them both academically and personally. We’re small enough to stay personal, but ambitious enough to give our students access to regional networks, entrepreneurial tools and hands-on learning that rivals larger programs. It’s the intersection of mentorship, mission and marketplace readiness. We are building and sending kingdom-minded, missional business leaders.

Q: What is some of the impact being made by LBC business students and alumni?

A: We’re seeing alumni launching startups, leading nonprofits, managing teams and serving faithfully in roles that go far beyond titles. One of the things I love is how many of our grads are starting businesses not just for profit — but for purpose. They’re mentoring younger entrepreneurs, advocating for ethical business models and taking risks that reflect kingdom values. And on campus, students are already pitching ideas, serving in local businesses and helping ministries grow through what they’re learning.

Q: What is the most exciting aspect for you about leading LBC’s business programs?

A: It’s the chance to multiply. To multiply leaders. Multiply impact. Multiply gospel presence in a field where light is needed. I love the creativity of business — but even more, I love watching students grow into who God designed them to be. Leading this program means I get to equip the next generation of faithful innovators — and that’s an incredible honor.

Q: What advice would you give a student considering studying business at LBC?

A: Come ready to grow — in your faith, your skills and your vision for what business can be. Don’t just ask, “What job can I get?” Ask, “What problem can I help solve? What person can I serve? What legacy do I want to leave?” This program will challenge you to think bigger, live deeper and lead with purpose.
