by LBC Marketing

As part of its Professional Development Series, the Lancaster Bible College Communication & Media Arts Department is hosting a “Compelling Narratives” seminar on Feb. 7, 2025.

Whether you’re a business or nonprofit leader, the event aims to help individuals unlock audience engagement and action with effective storytelling. The two-hour morning seminar will equip even novice communicators with actionable strategies to craft stories that resonate deeply, inspire loyalty and drive meaningful action.

The seminar, which is open to the public, is set for 7:30 to 10 a.m. Feb. 7 on the fourth floor of LBC’s Teague Learning Commons at 901 Eden Road Lancaster, Pa.

Topics of the morning will be geared toward varied audiences, including business leaders, entrepreneurs, nonprofit directors and teams, marketing and communication professionals, church leaders and ministry teams, content creators, social media managers, educators and community leaders.

Key objectives for the seminar include the following:

  • Learn the key elements of a compelling narrative to captivate your audience.
  • Explore practical storytelling strategies tailored for businesses and ministries.
  • Discover how to use storytelling to strengthen your brand and deepen connections.
  • Gain insights into applying storytelling to PR, social media and content marketing.
  • Leave with actionable steps to inspire your audience and drive results.

Ryan Geesaman.“Even experienced storytellers can benefit from fresh perspectives and strategies, which is why this seminar goes beyond the basics, focusing on actionable techniques to adapt your stories for modern platforms like social media, PR and content marketing,” said Ryan Geesaman, Academic Dean for the LBC Arts & Sciences, Communication & Media Arts, and Music, Worship & Performing Arts departments. “The seminar will be interactive, allowing time for questions, sharing challenges and gaining practical feedback.”

Storytelling isn’t just about entertainment—it’s about crafting a narrative that aligns with your audience’s values and inspires action. Whether it’s increasing brand loyalty, driving donations or building trust, this seminar will show you how to make your stories work for you.
