LBC | Capital to Host Greenbelt Graduation

May 4, 2017

Lancaster Bible College I Capital Seminary & Graduate School will celebrate the graduation of over 70 students from its undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs with a commencement ceremony from its Greenbelt  site on Saturday, May 13. The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. at Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church in Washington, D.C. Due to the facilities’ limited seating capacity, the event is not open to the public. For those unable to attend, the Lancaster commencement ceremony will be streamed live online at 2 p.m. on the day of the event here.

The keynote speaker for the Greenbelt ceremony is John K. Jenkins Sr., a long-time pastor and minister. He holds an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Southern California School of Ministry in Inglewood, California, and currently serves as the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Landover, Maryland.

The college will celebrate the graduation of approximately 180 other students at its four other sites in May and June, including a group of pastors in Uganda earning the Master of Arts in ministry degree through a partnership with Pastor’s Discipleship Network, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to training and equipping  African pastors.

“It is such an honor to celebrate this special occasion with our graduates each year,” said Dr. Peter W. Teague, president of Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School, “They work diligently toward this day for many years and we are more than proud to welcome them into our alumni family!”
