After more than 90 years in higher education, Lancaster Bible College has cemented its place as a leading institution that “educates Christian students to think and live a biblical worldview and to proclaim Christ by serving Him in the Church and society,” as the LBC mission guides the college.

And throughout the decades, many things at LBC have changed: Buildings come and go, students’ fashion choices evolve, cultural and societal issues ebb and flow, worship songs in chapel turn with the times.

But some things at LBC will never change: We are grounded in the conviction that Christ is real and the Bible is true. We will always be committed to the truth of God’s Word found in the Bible. Community is of utmost importance. We equip students to take their faith into the world and serve as change-makers.

While these unwavering tenets make LBC who it is today, the college branding elements are taking on a new, updated look.

On Feb. 3, 2025, LBC introduced a new graphic representation of the college name and a new tagline:

With the same red and black college colors that generations know and love, the new brand, the first major update since 2010, is simultaneously classic and modern. Clean and simple. Timeless but with interesting new elements. Distinct and clear in a noisy, content-filled world.

Why the tagline of “Experience Different”?

Lancaster Bible College students, faculty, staff and alumni have shared how much they have valued the LBC difference and what those differences bring to their life, faith and education. Furthermore, this phrase illustrates an ongoing commitment to the LBC Promise: To prepare students to flourish in college and life, inside and outside the classroom, from the conviction that Christ is real and the Bible is true.

What does that look like? Students are part of an intentional, close-knit community where professors and staff know their names, their passions and God’s calling on their lives. With biblically integrated curriculum, engaging events, meaningful relationships, student-athletes committed to more than winning and faith-building chapel gatherings, students’ experiences inside and outside the classroom equip them to boldly live out their faith.

At LBC, the Bible comes alive throughout every course and every experience, giving students a full understanding of God’s story and how it shapes their future—in their career, church and community.

The visuals of a brand, specifically the new LBC brand, reflect the level of excellence that is being poured into the story of our college from the perspectives of both faculty and students. Our mission, vision and values don’t simply exist on paper but instead are lived out in everything we do.

A successful brand, which is much more than a logo or a set of colors and fonts, communicates a core message, regardless of the medium or platform, so our community — students, parents, donors, employees, alumni and friends — can capture a glimpse of what LBC is really like.
