LBC Social Work Professor Earns Doctorate

March 5, 2018

Ling Dinse, an assistant professor in Lancaster Bible College’s social work program, earned her Doctor of Social Work degree from Millersville University early this March. For her DSW, Dinse completed a dissertation titled, “Barriers to Exiting and Factors Contributing to the Cycle of Exit, Entry, Re-Entering Commercial Sex Work.”

Dinse says she’s excited to put her doctorate to good use by teaching LBC’s many social work students. “The social work profession expects service providers to use the most effective and current interventions,” she said. “The doctoral education has sharpened my research skills and increased my competence as an evidence-based practitioner. The expanded knowledge on current research and practice enriched my role as an educator preparing the next generation of social workers striving for excellence for Christ.”
