National Sibling Day! Four from Richardson Family Call LBC Home

by Lilly Rutkowski (’25)

April 10 is National Sibling Day, and when it comes to the Richardson family, Lancaster Bible College isn’t just a place to learn, it’s a shared experience. All four siblings have either graduated from or are currently attending LBC.

The Richardson siblings all call LBC their college home.

The Richardson siblings all call LBC their college home.

For Luke Richardson (’27), a Middle Level Education major, the decision felt natural to attend LBC: “All my siblings came to LBC and had a great experience,” he said. “I wanted to go to a Christian college, and LBC checked all the boxes.”

Majoring in Health & Physical Education, Micah Richardson (’26) values both the proximity and the Christ-centered environment of LBC. “I love eating lunch with my siblings and sharing common experiences and friends,” he said. “Being on the track team with Luke is such a privilege.”

Jadyn Richardson (’26), the only sister of the group, is majoring in Early Childhood Education. For her, LBC’s sense of community was key: “I love the smaller, Christ-centered community close to home,” she said. “I’ve been able to build meaningful relationships with my teachers and classmates.”

And while education alumnus Shea Richardson (’22) is no longer on campus after graduating and playing with the men’s soccer team, his siblings continue to carry the family legacy, both academically and socially.

With parents Jeremy and Jodie of Lancaster, Pa., at the helm, the Richardson family enjoys playing games on campus, spontaneous lunches together, having classes with each other and doing fun things off campus such as going to Hershey Park. Even the little things, like a coffee delivery to an 8 a.m. class, make having siblings on campus a uniquely sweet part of their college journey.

From classrooms to chapel, from the track to the dining hall, the Richardson siblings are experiencing college together and making memories that will last far beyond graduation.
