New Center for Calling & Career Helps Students Fulfill God’s Purpose for Their Lives

Deciding on a college major doesn’t always guarantee direction or clarification. Within each program of study at the college level lies a variety of career options. And with thousands of job opportunities from which to choose, a young person starting a new career can easily become overwhelmed.

That’s where a new career-centered focus at Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School comes in.

In the summer of 2022, LBC | Capital launched a new division of Student Success, aptly named the Center for Calling & Career. Originally part of the Counseling & Care Center, known as C3, the Student Success team decided to split these into two separate entities because of the specific and important needs they serve.

The Center for Calling & Career “exists to help students and alumni live out their purpose and clarify their calling.” The Center also offers a wide variety of services to both past and present students, such as the following:

  • Personal assessments
  • Résumé and cover letter reviews
  • Mock interviews
  • Networking opportunities
  • Graduate school prep
  • Job search resources

Additionally, the Center seeks to help students find their calling and purpose in the workforce so that they can use their gifts to further God’s kingdom and proclaim Christ in their careers, wherever God calls them.

In the future, one goal for the career center is for it to be a place where all students can find clarity in where God is leading them and follow His call for their lives obediently.
