Things We're Thankful For

November 22, 2016

Thanksgiving holds a special significance for Christians. It offers us a chance to reflect on God's faithfulness and blessings in our lives - from the big things things to the small. As a college, we have a lot to be thankful for in the season! Once more, LBC participated in the Extraordinary Give and with your help and the matching funds offered through this giving initiative, we raised well over $140,000 for our Scholarship Fund - and that is nothing short of blessing.

We decided to ask some of our students at Lancaster Bible College to share with us what they're most thankful for this Thanksgiving, and here's what they had to say:

  • Smita Groff ('19, Early Childhood Education): I am Thankful for God by being blessed with such an incredible family. They are my whole world.
  • LinYang (Daniel) Xue ('18, Business Administration, International Student): In this Thanksgiving season, I’m thankful for God’s unchanging love and that His Grace towards me was not in vain. I’m also thankful for everything God has provided for me!
  • Rachel Snyder ('17, Intercultural Studies): I'm thankful for the way God speaks into my life through my family and friends, who love and support me beyond what I could ever imagine!
  • John Sanchez ('18, Business Administration): I'm thankful for family.
  • Julia D'Arrigo ('18, Business Administration): I'm thankful for hot apple cider because I can make it and share it with family!
  • Joshua Lane ('18, Student Ministry): What I'm most thankful for is that whatever we go through, God is constant and He is always there for you, and he brings people into your life that are there for you.

What you are most thankful for during this time of the year? Comment below with your thoughts!

What’s your next step?
