In an effort to raise awareness and funds for communities around the world that lack access to clean water, Lancaster Bible College’s Student Government Association (SGA) will partner with UNTO Ministries to host a “Water Walk” on March 13, 2025.

WHAT IS A WATER WALK?

In many parts of the world, women and children walk several miles each day to collect water, often from unclean sources. LBC’s Water Walk is a hands-on experience that allows participants to step into their shoes by carrying a bucket of water on a one-mile loop around the community while collecting donations. By taking part, LBC students, faculty, staff and local alumni will not only gain a deeper understanding of the daily struggles faced by others but will also contribute to making a real difference in the lives of those lacking clean water.

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

LBC students, both on campus and online, faculty, staff as well as interested local LBC alumni can take the following steps to get involved in the Water Walk:

• Form a Team: Gather a group of up to six people and sign up to participate in the Water Walk. Work together to complete the mile-long walk on March 13 while carrying a bucket of water, just like millions do daily.
• Donate: If you are unable to participate, you can still make an impact by donating online directly to the LBC event through UNTO Ministries. Contributions will go toward funding wells or water pumps to provide clean drinking water for communities in need.
• Spread the Word: Encourage friends, classmates, professors and fellow alumni to join in and support the cause!
• Sign up Today: Register your team here and be ready to walk from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 13, starting at the Sebastian Academic Center on LBC’s campus at 901 Eden Road.
