Wondering if LBC Has a Delay or Cancellation? Here’s 3 Ways You Can Find Out

During the winter months, we get a asked a lot of questions on social media about whether or not Lancaster Bible College is closing due to inclement weather, usually of the snowy variety. Since we can’t field all of these questions in a timely fashion, we have great news: you don’t need to wait to hear back from us! We have several helpful resources for you to determine whether or not the school has a delay, closing or early dismal.

1. In the Morning, a Decision Will Be Made and Posted Online By 6 a.m. EST. In the Afternoon, a Decision Will Be Made About Evening Classes and Activities and Posted Online By 2:30 p.m. EST.

We do this to ensure you have to time to plan your morning or evening commute to classes and events.

2. ALL Delays, Cancellations, Delays and Closing Will Be Posted on the Homepage of the Website.

Anytime you’re thinking to yourself and thinking, “Hey, I wonder if if LBC will close because of the weather today,” all you need to do is visit lbc.edu. In the event of a delay or closing, a pop up notification will be at the top of the homepage announcing the change – and it’s hard to miss!

3. Students, Staff & Faculty Can Sign Up to Get Alerts Sent to Their Mobile Devices via Alert LBC

This feature is ONLY for those with a LBC account, so sorry parents – you’ll just have to check the homepage of the site! Students are automatically enrolled in the program. For those that do qualify and want to sign up, click here to sign up for Alert LBC. Announcements will be sent out in the form of a text message, a phone call or a voicemail and and email.

4. Check Local News Listings

Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School also sends out the announcement to local news stations. Tune in to WGAL 8 or listen to WJTL 90.3 FM and WDAC 94.5 FM to see if LBC has made a decision. Please note that the announcements won’t appear in these locations as quickly as it does on our website, so check there first.
