Formational Leadership Concentration

Doctor of Ministry (DMin)

Trains and equips holistically healthy leaders for ministry in the 21st century.

Why Formational Leadership?

Transform yourself to transform the church.

It is easy for Christian leaders to become overwhelmed in our media-saturated, fast-paced, success-driven culture. While juggling the responsibilities of ministry and caring for others, leaders can easily lose sight of their own spiritual wellness. At Capital Seminary and Graduate School, our Doctor of Ministry’s concentration in Formational Leadership develops a deeper understanding and level of soul care for church, para-church and non-profit spiritual leaders. Because the health of our people – and the health of our organization – is directly related to the health of the leader.

What Makes the Formational Leadership Concentration Different?

This program directly addresses a gap that too often overlooked in ministry and leadership: burnout and fatigue. If you’re yearning to recapture your love of ministry, Christ, deep study of God’s Word and fed up with the tediousness of the day-to-day tasks that sap your energy, this is the doctoral program for you. Revitalize your ministry by allowing God to revive you.

  • Study under megachurch pastor and prolific author Wayne Cordeiro

Hear from a Student: Doctor of Ministry

Capital Student

"Capital really understands how to integrate your study with people who are doing ministry in a high-paced and intensive environment. The combination of being part of a cohort, studying online and doing some intensives together is a really good balance. They really cracked the code in helping to integrate your study and the work with the ministry you are doing daily."

- Pastor Darren Whitehead, Church of the City, Nashville
