If you have a passion for working with students across the learning spectrum, consider earning a master’s degree in Special Education. This online program is design for busy working professionals while still focusing on deep engagement with faculty and fellow students.
Our Master of Education: Special Education program prepares certified teachers to engage with students with a variety of special needs – from students with Down Syndrome, ADHD, behavioral disorders, emotional disorders, learning disabilities and more – to achieve their greatest potential. Learn how to create effective IEPs (individualized education plans), manage student behaviors, teach effectively and collaborate with other professionals and families. After being taught by master teachers with years of experience in special education, you’ll graduate equipped and prepared to make a difference in the lives of students with special needs.
Course Length
8 weeks, a few courses are 16 weeks
Residency Requirement
There is no residency requirement. To help build community students have the opportunity to participate in a weekly 30-60 minute Zoom session with their professor and fellow students.
Capstone Requirement
There is no capstone requirement.
