Master's Degree Application Process

We are so glad you are considering master's degree from Capital Seminary and Graduate School! Apply online now and follow the steps below for the full application process. For your convenience you can print out the checklist to help track through the process. Please have transcripts and mailed applications sent to: Capital Seminary and Graduate School, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.

STEP 1 - Complete the online Application Form

Complete your application and submit $40 application fee.

STEP 2 - Autobiographical Essay

Submit an autobiographical essay describing your salvation experience and ministry goals using these instructions.

In approximately 1,000 words, please write an autobiographical essay that includes the following:

  1. Explain Christ’s saving work in your life. Please share the details of your conversion experience, and use scripture to explain your experience.
  2. Explain how God has used people and circumstances in your life to grow your faith.
  3. Describe your current spiritual disciplines including evangelism, Bible study, prayer and ministry service.  
  4. Share your current employment situation, your future vocational goals, and why you have chosen to apply to Capital Seminary and Graduate School.
  5. In the last 5 years, other than the Bible, what author or book has most influenced your faith?  Using APA or MLA to cite your source, please support your response with a quote from the book.

Please utilize this autobiographical essay to demonstrate your writing ability.

STEP 2 - References & Transcripts

Request official transcripts from institutions through which degrees have been awarded. Then, complete the computer proficiency form. Finally, ask two people to complete a reference form on your behalf. (MEd CRT applicants must submit three references and Teacher Certification. MAPC must submit three references.)

STEP 3 - Personal Interview

Following a receipt of the above items and upon approval of the Associate Dean for Master's Studies, our office will arrange your personal interview with a faculty member.
