Admissions Process for International Students

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you are an international student looking to pursue a traditional undergraduate degree on the campus of Lancaster Bible College, make sure you first visit the general international student information.

Please follow the steps below to begin your application process.

STEP 1 - Complete Your Application

You can choose to complete the online form or the printable form.

STEP 2 - Submit Additional Documents Required for Your Application

  • Profile
  • Autobiography (Essay):Tell us about yourself, why you want to attend LBC, and how you came to know Christ as your Savior. This may be completed either by email international@lbc.edu OR online.
  • Copy of Passport and/or VISA: Email to international@lbc.edu.
  • References:  Send two letters of reference. 
  • TOEFL (Required):  Take the “Test of English as a Foreign Language” (TOEFL) and submit your score to us at  international@lbc.edu. To be granted admission, the minimum scores are as follows: 69 for internet-based, 193 for computer-based, and 523 for paper-based.
  • Academic Records: (Email to international@lbc.edu
    • Transcripts: Email an unaltered copy of your academic credentials showing successful completion of your country's high school educational requirements.
    • Educational Background: Email proof of an educational background equivalent to an American high school education or Submit the Educational Background Form.
    • If Applicable:
      • Transfer credits: Email academic credentials from any university or colleges attended after completion of high school.
      • ACT/SAT Scores: ACT/SAT test scores are optional and may be used for placement and potential scholarship. Submit official scores.

STEP 3 - Application Fee

Submit a $25 application fee.  Contact your admissions counselor for more details.

STEP 4 - Start the F-1 Visa and Immigration Process

Once all application materials have been submitted and you have been accepted into LBC, you will need to begin the application process for an F-1 Visa. Our Admissions Counselor and Designated School Officer will guide you in more detail through this process.

FIRST: Submit Application for International Student Financial Aid and Bank Statements

Government Regulations require any student planning to study on an F-1 visa must provide proof of finances for at least the first academic year.

SECOND: Submit a Down Payment

International students must submit the funds to cover their first ¼ (quarter) of the educational costs upfront to Lancaster Bible College. The funds will be held in escrow and will be returned to immediately if unable to attend LBC.

THIRD: I-20 and F-1 Visa Application

After receiving the down payment, LBC will send you an I-20 Form. This form provides the government with the information necessary to issue you a visa. You will need to complete the visa application process through a US Embassy or Consulate in your country.
