What is Team Charger?

Team Charger is a summer ministry that is run by LBC students. Our goal is to partner with ministries in order to make disciples of Jesus Christ, while also representing and recruiting students to Lancaster Bible College. During the summer, Team Charger travels to Christian camps and conferences to serve in various ways such as: performing skits, leading games, camp counseling, leading worship and conducting one-on-one ministry with campers and staff. As admissions recruiters, Team Charger will also run an LBC booth, promote the college during chapels and simply represent LBC in day-to-day conversations.

One of the theme verses for the team is Colossians 3:1 which states, “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” The team is tasked to be faithful to this charge as they serve others and proclaim Christ’s love, while continually deepening their own walk with Jesus. Through serving the camp or conference in ministry endeavors, or through recruitment endeavors for LBC, it is a summer of immense personal growth and ministry opportunity. Team Charger is made up of 5 students who will travel anywhere between 6 to 8 weeks from June through July. It is a physically draining summer, working long days and traveling many miles, with all of the emotional highs and lows of ministry. But, by God’s grace, it is without a doubt a spiritually rewarding experience. It is an incredible opportunity to see lives transformed for the Kingdom, while experiencing vast amounts of personal development.
