Dual Enrollment Program in Washington, D.C.

If you’re a junior or senior in high school or a homeschool setting, and you already know God has called you for a special purpose, Lancaster Bible College wants to give you a the chance to earn college credits from an accredited institution at a special discounted rate!

Through our First Lap dual enrollment program, which is part of our undergraduate adult education track, high school students can take one tuition-free course per term/semester in the fall, spring and summer at our Washington, D.C., location before graduating from high school.

Benefits of this program include:

  • Take up to 12 credits as a high school student through this program—equal to four 3-credit college courses..
  • Courses are offered in the evening so they fit into your high school schedule.
  • Engage with other students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Credits may be transferable to other colleges or universities.
  • Our Washington, D.C., site is accessible by Metro Bus & Rail.

First Lap courses are:
  • 8-weeks in length and part of our regular undergraduate adult education program.
  • Offered in a hybrid format that combines the best of both online activities and assignments with weekly 2-hour in-person evening classes in Greenbelt, Md.
  • Taught on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 6 and 9:45 p.m.
  • Three-credit undergraduate college courses that help you get a head start to earning your college degree.
Cost
  • One tuition-free course may be taken per term in the fall, spring and summer. A term or semester is comprised of two 8-week sub-terms.
  • If a student desires to take more than one course in a term, the cost is $99 per credit, or $297 per course.
