Application into one of Capital’s doctoral degrees can be made at any time. Accepted students will begin their program in the fall semester.
As you prepare your application package for submission, we’ve provided the following checklist to assist you in tracking your application progress. After you’ve sent all the requested materials, your application will be reviewed for admission.
After we receive your application form, we will respond by email to confirm receipt of the application and to remind you of the other application pieces that are required.
Submit $40 application fee.

Write an autobiographical statement.
Submit an autobiographical essay, of approximately 1,000 words, describing your salvation experience and ministry goals using these instructions. Please utilize this autobiographical essay to demonstrate your writing ability. This autobiographical essay should include the following:
Ask two people (three if you are applying to the Consulting Resource Teacher Program) who are qualified to evaluate your ministry/work experience and ministry/work potential to complete a reference form on your behalf.
Request Official Transcripts.
Please request transcripts from the institutions through which degrees have been awarded. These need to be sent to Capital Seminary & Graduate School directly from the degree granting institution(s). Transcripts in a sealed envelope should be mailed to: Capital Seminary & Graduate School, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
Complete Online Computer Proficiency Form
All master’s students need to have a basic knowledge of computers and the internet in order to be successful in their classes. This form will help measure your computer proficiency. Feel free to contact us with any questions at 866.275.8720 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
All International Applicants must demonstrate a satisfactory level of English proficiency.
This can be done by taking the TOEFL exam at www.ETS.org/TOEFL. Make sure to add our school code: 2388. International applicants are required to score a minimum of 550 on the written version, or 213 on the computerized version, or 79 on the internet based version of the exam.
Submit Teacher Certification Credentials
Only for Masters in Education candidates – required for those pursuing the Consulting Resource Teacher Program, optional for those pursuing a School Counseling Program) This can be mailed, faxed (717.560.8265) or emailed at email@example.com.
Following receipt of the above items and upon approval of the Associate Dean, a personal interview will be arranged with a faculty member.
