by Madalyn Kiser (’22)

As evergreen trees are decorated with homemade ornaments and twinkle lights line rooftops, the Christmas season is beginning. Lancaster Bible College is starting off the holiday season with the vocal performance of “A Chanticleer Christmas.” The event is set for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at The Trust Performing Arts Center.

Founded in San Francisco in 1978, Chanticleer consists of 12 male a cappella vocalists who travel all over the world to share the gift of song. Known as “an orchestra of voices” with vocal ranges from countertenor to bass, “A Chanticleer Christmas” is sure to take concertgoers on a musical journey through the ages. With musical selections inspired by the Renaissance, jazz, gospel and venturesome new music, the group incorporates many styles to indulge listeners of all kinds.
