Dr. Melissa Lee works full-time at Lancaster Bible College as the Director of the Professional School Counseling program and Director of the BS Psychology degree. Psychology is an exciting degree that allows you to explore the complexities of the mind and gain insights into why people think, feel, and act the way they do, and it is personally enriching and applicable to many different areas of life and careers. Majoring in the field of psychology is essentially a journey of self-discovery while learning how to better understand others around you.
Before coming to LBC, Dr. Lee worked for 3 years in the clinical field and 12 years in public education as a former middle school and high school counselor and as a supervisor of school counseling services. Dr. Lee believes that school counselors are integral within school districts in meeting the needs of all students’ social-emotional development, fostering academic growth, and providing post-secondary college and career educational services. The profession of school counseling is a special calling from God, a very rewarding career. Serving as an assistant professor, teaching multiple courses, and currently working toward her LPC License, Dr. Lee is excited to train the next generation of psychology and school counseling students
