“This semester we have our largest cast yet, with 16 dancers of all levels,” said Steinmetz, who serves as the college’s Dance Coordinator and as an adjunct faculty member. “We hope our campus and local community will come and enjoy this fun and exciting dance show! Our dancers have been pushed and challenged, and it’s been so exciting to see them grow technically and artistically while rehearsing for this semester’s performance.”

Not only have the rehearsals been fun and challenging for the students, but these experiences in the arts have also brought students together within the LBC community.

“Having a dance performance ensemble open to performance majors and non-performance majors alike has brought together students from all over campus to connect, laugh, collaborate and make beautiful art together to the glory of God,” Steinmetz added. “Students of different majors, who otherwise may never have met, became friends through this wonderful shared experience.”

The LBC Dance Company relies heavily on audience donations. Baskets will be available at the door for those who would like to support the ensemble in any amount.

During the 2023-24 academic year, Lancaster Bible College marks 90 years of “educating Christian students to think and live and biblical worldview and to proclaim Christ by serving Him in the Church and society.” We celebrate our history, our heritage and God’s good work through alumni, faculty, staff and friends of LBC over many years. We rely on God’s wisdom and guidance as we equip students to make a lasting impact on our world: in Lancaster, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., online and through partnerships in Uganda, Brazil and beyond.
