Department: Bible & Theology

Office Location: Lancaster

Jesse Skaggs has been teaching high school physics and astronomy for almost twenty years. He was born and raised in Lancaster, PA. Following high school he enlisted in the US Army and served four years active duty as a Chaplain Assistant in Germany, followed by four years in the Delaware National Guard. He has an undergraduate degree in Physics Education from the University of Delaware, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Mennonite University. He met his wife, Sara, while working in Christian camping ministry at a camp in the Poconos. They have four children.

Jesse began formal training in apologetics in 2012 at Biola University and continues to pursue his Master of Science and Religion degree, which is an apologetics degree more narrowly focused on the history and philosophy of science, evolution, and intelligent design. He co-directs a local chapter of Reasonable Faith in order to encourage Christians to grow in apologetics, and he has spent countless hours over the years engaging with atheists and freethinkers in order to challenge their worldview.
