Tom Randolph, EdD

Professor

Department: Education

Office Location: Lancaster

Tom’s career began in the K-12 classroom as a health and physical educator. He also has extensive experience as a coach in a variety of sports. In 2010, after supervising several LBC student teachers, Tom Randolph moved to higher education as a professor in the Health and Physical Education department. From 2014 until 2020, Tom served as the Chair of the Health and Physical Education department. The effects of Tom’s leadership are evident in the way the LBC HPE program is viewed in the local educational community, as well as the strong base of alumni serving as educators throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Tom Randolph is a firm believer that high quality physical education programs and staff don’t just “roll out the ball.” The focus of an excellent teacher is to develop students with the movement skills they need. Tom’s entire purpose is to deliver a high quality HPE Teacher Certification Program that equips future educators with cutting-edge health and physical educational instruction, strategies to increase fitness and activity levels, innovative methods and technology and classroom management skills to enable social interaction among students. Above all else, Tom integrates a biblical worldview in all he does whether mentoring, instructing or enjoying time with students.
