Looking to Transfer from a Gap Year Program?

Have you recently completed a “gap year” experience? Are you interested in finishing a college degree, but aren’t sure about transitioning to college life? Do you want a community to help you bring the intentionality of your gap year program to your college campus for others to experience?

Lancaster Bible College loves gap year transfers. We know how helpful and impactful a gap year can be to learn more about yourself, others and God. We also know that the transition out of a gap year experience can be a challenge. Here’s what LBC has to offer as you discern what’s next:

  • Lifelong Friendships – Join other gap year transfers in a discipleship community, finding a place to belong and a community that inspires you to reach out to others.
  • Academic Empowerment – Receive the support you need to both succeed in the classroom and ignite your learning for God’s kingdom.
  • Leadership Development – Step into a leadership role on campus or in the community that propels you to deeper levels of engagement.

As a gap year transfer, you are eligible for exclusive scholarships. You will also have the opportunity to participate in weekly discipleship meetings, monthly community-building events and will have one course (LBC 100) that is exclusively designed with gap year transfers in mind.

Hear from a grad:
“I chose to complete my degree at LBC after taking a gap year because LBC is a college that takes the Bible seriously. They also supported the mission of the intentional year I had just completed enough to give me a significant scholarship. It showed me that they valued the gospel, meaningful learning, and the growth I had just experienced. I was so thankful that I went to LBC because the faculty was incredible in how they treated my learning, my internships, and me as a person.” – Lydia (’20)

“The transition from OneLife to LBC was pretty easy. There were a lot of other students from different locations of my OneLife class whom I had met before, so I came into LBC with a sort of pre-established community. The community here at LBC has been so wonderfully supportive and encouraging. I still miss my OneLife family, but my LBC family has become just as influential, if not more so.” – Jess (’24)
