8 Alumni Benefits You Didn’t Know You Had

As a graduate of Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School, you (of course) have a degree from the college. But did you know that when you become part of the alumni family, you also get access to special benefits? It’s true! So, fellow Chargers, read below to find out what kind of perks await graduates of Lancaster Bible College.

1. Tuition Discounts for Children

LBC’s Children of Alumni scholarship is available for $2,500 and is renewable annually with a 2.3 minimum GPA. The Children of Full-Time Christian Workers scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000, also renewable annually with a 2.3 minimum GPA. Start the admissions process here.

2. Advanced Standing for Seminary Programs

Undergraduate alumni can receive “advanced standing” for LBC | Capital seminary programs, meaning you are exempt from taking up to 12 credits of Bible courses.

3. Audit an LBC Course for Free

Interested in learning something new but not necessarily in obtaining academic credit? As space allow, alumni may audit LBC one course for free per semester (student service fee applies). Contact registrar@lbc.edu for a list of available courses.

4. Give a Scholarship through the Alumni Referral Program

As a graduate of LBC | Capital, you represent the caliber of student we strive to equip, train and empower. That’s why we want your help to find and recruit other mission-fit students – students like you. The Each One Reach One program empowers you, our alumni, to identify potential LBC | Capital students and bless them with a scholarship* to the college! Click here to nominate a student.

*Scholarship amount varies based upon academic level.

5. Check Out Library Materials

You can check out books from the Charles & Gloria Jones Library for two-week time periods, with a limit of 20 books at one time. All you need is a library card, available for free in the library.

6. Free Access to RightNow Media

LBC offers this free benefit to the college family, including alumni from across all locations and modalities. RightNow Media is home to the world’s largest library of Bible study video resources. As the RightNow states, “Our mission is to work with the global church to inspire people to love others before self and Christ above all.”  Read more…

7. ReCharge Your Education with a $4,000 Alumni Scholarship

The ReCharge Alumni Scholarship is a $1,000-per-year alumni scholarship ($4,000 maximum) so alumni can “recharge” their education though the college’s many online and hybrid masters and doctorates degrees.

These include an MBA in the Business Administration Department, as well as degrees in Strategic Communication, MinistryDivinityCounselingLeadershipBiblical StudiesEducationSport Management, just to name a few. Read more…

8. Ticket Discounts

Alumni are entitled to 20% off LBC Arts & Culture events that are held in Good Shepherd Chapel as well as the Trust Performing Arts Center. Contact the alumni office for the discount code, and be in the know about upcoming events at lbc.edu/events. Plus, LBC alumni get discounted admission of $3 to Charger home athletic games. All fans get free admission to baseball, softball, lacrosse and cross country home contests. Can’t make it to the field or court? Visit lbcchargers.com to watch live-streamed games for free.
